Our League Predictor | Round 9

It's Round 9 and it's time to get those all-important score predictions in on the Our League Predictor Game!

This week sees Leeds Rhinos legend Keith Senior - an integral part of the Rhinos' 'Golden Generation' who won the Super League Grand Final for three consecutive seasons in 2007, 2008 and 2009 - give his predictions heading into week nine as fans continue to Go up against the Pros in 2024.

St Helens v Huddersfield Giants

There's a huge clash between St Helens and Huddersfield Giants on Thursday night. Both teams come into this game on the back of strong wins in Round 8, so it could be a close one to call.

The Saints have won each of their last eight Super League games against the Giants by an average margin of 22 points and have in fact kept Ian Watson's men scoreless in two of their last five meetings in the competition.

Will history repeat itself or will Huddersfield make it six straight wins in both the Super League and Challenge Cup?

Keith Senior's prediction: St Helens

Our League member predictions: Saints: 90%, Giants: 9%, Draw/Golden Point: 1%

Hull KR v Wigan Warriors

There's a mouth-watering clash set to take place between Hull KR and Wigan in Round 9, as the sides gear up for their Betfred Challenge Cup Semi-Final clash in three weeks' time.

The Robins will be looking to bounce straight back from a disappointing defeat in Perpignan to Catalans Dragons last Saturday and will have to dust themselves down quickly as they take on the current Champions.

Wigan Warriors have won their last three Super League games against Hull KR, although they have won just two of their last six away games against the Robins in the competition…

Keith Senior's prediction: Wigan Warriors

Our League member predictions: Robins: 18%, Warriors: 82%, Draw/Golden Point: 0%

Castleford Tigers v London Broncos

Tensions will be high over at the Mend-A-Hose Jungle on Friday as London Broncos head to West Yorkshire in search of their first win of 2024.

Castleford Tigers ended 2023 in eleventh place and know a win against the newly-promoted Broncos can edge their further away from the bottom of the table. Likewise, London will see this as one of their must win games.

The Tigers last met with the Broncos in 2019 beating them 20-6 at home and 42-10 away, but there are fresh faces in both teams since these one-sided encounters.

There could be a few nerves present on Friday, but which team will come out on top?

Keith Senior's prediction: Castleford Tigers

Our League member predictions: Tigers: 86%, Broncos: 14%, Draw/Golden Point: 0%

Leigh Leopards v Catalans Dragons

It's a home game for Leigh Leopards in Round 9, as they welcome current league leaders Catalans Dragons.

Leigh are just one win from seven, but have come agonisingly close on numerous occasions, including a narrow defeat to Warrington Wolves in Round 8.

But Adrian Lam's men will have to produce a full 80 minute performance if they are to overcome a fearsome Dragons outfit, as Steve McNamara's men will look to occupy top spot for the third week running.

Are you backing the Leopards or the Dragons?

Keith Senior's prediction: Catalans Dragons

Our League member predictions: Leopards: 14%, Dragons: 86%, Draw/Golden Point: 0%

Salford Red Devils v Warrington Wolves

There's more Super League action on Saturday when Salford Red Devils go up against a winning Warrington Wolves outfit.

Sam Burgess' men continue to impress and have emerged as the victors in six out of their last seven Super League games.

A win for the Red Devils would see the hosts go level on league points with the Wolves - but a win for Warrington and other possible results from the round could see them regain the lead at the top of the table.

Keith Senior's prediction: Warrington Wolves

Our League member predictions: Red Devils: 14%, Wolves: 86%, Draw/Golden Point: 0%

Hull FC v Leeds Rhinos

Hull FC and Leeds Rhinos find themselves desperately in need of a win on Sunday, as they meet at the MKM Stadium.

Both teams know that they need to make significant improvements if they are to come away with the two points, so there could be a bruising battle on the cards.

The signings Hull have made during the week - Tom Briscoe, Ed Chamberlain and Yusuf Aydin - could have a significant impact, as the Black and Whites have suffered three consecutive 50+ defeats in both league and cup.

The Rhinos, on the other hand, twice threw away a 12-point lead in defeat to Huddersfield last Friday, but who will want it more on Sunday?

Keith Senior's prediction: Leeds Rhinos

Our League member predictions: Hull FC: 10%, Rhinos: 90%, Draw/Golden Point: 0%
